Albany Pro Musica Announces Expanded Programming for 2009-2010 Season
ALBANY, NY—Albany Pro Musica today announced the lineup for its 2009-2010 concert season, which features a full range of choral music with wider appeal than in previous years.
Highlights include some of the greatest choral works of all time, including: the Durufle Requiem; Mozart Requiem and Chichester Psalms; America’s Song, a folk celebration of Henry Hudson’s discovery of the Hudson River Valley; Pops Night Cabaret, an evening of popular music and show tunes; and the ever- popular holiday concert, When Angels Sing.
“Our 2009-2010 season presents a rich mix of musical genres and concert venues intended to attract a more diverse listenership,” said David Griggs-Janower, artistic director and conductor of Albany Pro Musica. “It’s just a part of our commitment to introducing the joys of choral music to the Capital Region community and beyond.”
