Program and silent auction listing

Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra will be playing great music to dance to.  Here’s a link to hear them in action. Play

Taste Penthouse Catering will be supplying a Latin themed feast and will be offering each attendee a signature cocktail, either Sangria or a Spicy Papaya Margarita.  If we have good weather, we may be able to celebrate out on the deck overlooking the Albany skyline.

Total Events has donated decor to turn the upstairs venue into a Latin extravaganza.

Dexter Davis Photography will set up a photo booth complete with fun fiesta props and backdrop.

Then there is the Silent Auction which has incredible offerings. Here’s a sampling so you can make sure to get your ticket to the event to bid on these items:

  • Be an editor for a day at the Times Union with Editor Rex Smith.  The high bidder will join Rex on his day and engage in the activities that put the paper out the following day.
  • Go to Saratoga Racetrack in style and sit in the Mayor’s box-Join Brent and Linda Wilkes and see the beautiful track from the mayor’s box at the finish line.
  • Enjoy a chef’s tasting dinner at Mingle on the Avenue in downtown Saratoga Springs.  Chef Brian Bowden will create an incredible meal for you.  Get the dinner and the box at the track and you are all set for a great day.
  • Learn to be a choral conductor with Maestro Jose Daniel Flores Caraballo.  After a one hour private lesson, you will come in and conduct Albany Pro Musica at one of their rehearsals.  Think of the fun you can have telling 60 singers what to do!
  •  Enjoy a season of music at the Union College Music Series.  Held in the beautiful Memorial Chapel, this prestigious series will take you to musical nirvana.
  •  This is just a small sampling of what will be available.  We have baskets of wine, dinners with great hosts, gift certificates, books, tickets, artwork, and things to keep you healthy.

We’d love to have you join us for a relaxing late summer afternoon out in the country. Wine glasses will clink, delicious food will be consumed and beautiful music will float among the rafters of the historic Jan Wemp Barn, thanks to the generosity of our patron, Nancy Touhey. This event also features the exciting debut of our new artistic director, José Daniel Flores-Caraballo!
